1.2. Why is needed now
To ensure that we are competitive and effective in the way we author project data. Atkins have structured guidance in this document for delivery teams to review and consider. This will ensure that the right choices are made around the development of Revit data.
Just as carefully considered models deliver highly effective outcomes, poor models can be difficult and expensive to resolve and present a significant risk to Atkins business. We all have the same objectives; to deliver to our clients the best possible project outcomes to enable the possibilities of future business.
We are experiencing inconsistent approaches to model authoring on many projects, this is resulting in poor delivery and outputs. By developing a consistent approach, teams will learn the most efficient and best practice for building content and managing the (PIM) Project Information Models.
